On pakko vahvistaa yhdenvertaisuutta

Viime vuonna, vuonna 2017, meillä oli juhlavuosi: 100 vuotta oli kulunut siitä, kun Suomi itsenäistyi.

Minun pitää myöntää, että ennen juhlia, ja niiden aikanakin, mietin, että olemmeko oikeasti itsenäisiä, onko Suomi todella itsenäinen maa? Nykyinen kehitys mietityttää, esimerkiksi taloustilanne, jossa isoja suomalaisia yhtiöitä, kuten Anttila, on ajettu konkurssiin, tai niiden suomalainen omistus on siirtynyt tai on siirtymässä ulkomaalaisten käsiin, kuten Nokia, Panda ja Harvia. Tämä on tapahtunut samaan aikaan kun ulkolaiset suuryhtiöt ovat tulleet Suomeen suomalaisten yhtiöiden tilalle, kuten palveluja tuottavat ISS ja Addeco.

Tilanne on siis se, että Suomessa olevien yhtiöiden päätökset, jotka vaikuttavat maan taloustilanteeseen, tehdään ulkomailla. Miten itsenäistä tässä tilanteessa sitten olemme?

On hyvä ottaa huomioon, että alun perin suomalaiset ovat itse päätöksillään mahdollistaneet sen, että päätökset tehdään nyt muualla.

Tänä vuonna, vuonna 2018, on aika pysähtyä ja miettiä: 100 vuotta on kulunut myös sisällissodasta, jossa veljet ja siskot tappoivat toisiaan.

Mielestäni sota on isoin osoitus ihmiskunnan ja yhteiskunnan epäonnistumisesta. Yhteiskunnan päätavoite on järjestää asiat niin, että kaikki voivat elää rauhassa toistensa kanssa. Siinä mielessä keskustelu sodasta, ja sen ehkäisystä on aina aiheellista, koska se mahdollistaa anteeksi pyytämisen ja antamisen. Anteeksi antaminen mahdollistaa rehellisen keskustelun siitä, mitä tapahtui ja mitä tehtiin. Pelkkä historian tunteminen ei siis riitä, pitää pyytää myös anteeksi. Sitten voidaan yhteistä tulevaisuutta rakentaa puhtaalta pöydältä, niin ettei sotaa toisteta.

Ymmärtääkseni tätä avointa keskustelua, johon kaikki osallistuvat, ja joka mahdollistaa anteeksi pyytämisen ja antamisen ei oikein ole vielä käyty Suomessa. Tästä syystä sodan haavat ovat vielä tänäkin päivänä avoimia, ja vieläkin sattuvat. Olisi erittäin tärkeää, että kävisimme näitä keskusteluja yhteiskuntarauhan takia.

Minusta kaikkien sotien syynä on eriarvoisuus; jotta toisen ihmisen voi tappaa, on ajateltava, ettei toinen ole samanarvoinen kuin itse. Sen takia, sotien ehkäisynä täytyy olla tasa-arvo ja yhdenvertaisuus.

Sisällissodan ja toisen maailman sodan jälkeen Suomessa rakennetiin menestystarina: hyvinvointiyhteiskunta, jossa kaikilla tai lähes kaikilla oli hyvinvointia kuten opiskelijoilla, lapsiperheillä, pienituloisilla ja eläkeläisillä palkansaajien lisäksi. Tämä tasa-arvo, niin kuin aina, vahvisti rauhaa yhteiskunnassa.

On hyvä huomata, että menestystarina alkoi päätöksistä, jotka tehtiin täällä Suomessa kaikkien edut huomioon ottaen.

Valitettavasti viimeisen 15 vuoden aikana tämä yhdenvertaisuus on murentunut. Todella pieni määrä meistä on rikastunut hyvin nopeasti, samaan aikaan kun pientulosten perheiden, eläkeläisten, ja työttömien tulot ovat pienenentyneet hallituksien leikkausten tai muiden päätösten kautta. Taas tehdään muiden ehdoilla suomalaisia päätöksiä, jotka tuovat eriarvoisuutta yhteiskuntaan. Valitettavasti tämä eriarvoisuus tulee jatkumaan, jos suunniteltu sote-uudistus toteutetaan niin, että kansan hyvinvointi annetaan voiton nälkäisten toimijoiden käsiin.

Eikö ole selvää vielä, että hyvinvointi ja rahan teko eivät sovi yhteen? Eikö olisi jo aika tehdä aitoja suomalaisia päätöksiä, kuten silloin kun hyvinvointiyhteiskuntaa rakennettiin?

Näyttää siltä, että sisällissodan opetukset on unohdettu tai niistä ei ole opittu. Tämän takia meidän, koko yhteiskunnan, on pakko miettiä yhdessä mihin olemme menossa. Haluammeko, että eriarvoisuus aiheuttaa uuden luokkasodan? Meidän on pakko vahvistaa yhdenvertaisuutta, jos haluamme välttää ne virheet, jotka sata vuotta sitten tehtiin.

Uskon, että kun meillä on tahtoa, onnistumme ylläpitämään hyvinvointivaltiota. Minusta tämä on päätös, joka on helppo tehdä. Tämä on tehtävä meidän ja lapsiemme tulevaisuuden takia sekä kunnioituksesta niitä kohtaan, jotka hyvinvointivaltion meille rakensivat. Valinta on meidän.
